Over the years I have heard about forestry as an investment. I even toyed with the idea of our own Christmas Tree Farm as a side hustle. It is a REALLY long term investment as you wait for the trees to grow… But grow they will which then begs the question of whether it is worth the initial investment and the really really long wait.
It is important to track your net worth. How else can you know where you are financially so that you can plan for the future? The most important thing is to understand your financial position today so you can be moving in the right direction.
Every day I am thinking about how hard our money is working for us. The harder it works, the more it makes and the less WE have to work. There is absolutely no point in me putting money in places where it does not earn any interest.

When we moved away from Wellington fifteen years or so ago our landlord at the time said “BUY property, BUY anything you can get your hands on, houses have never been so cheap and they are about to go UP in price”.
The shoes have ONE YEAR to prove themselves. If they have not been worn in that time she turns around and sells them. She frequently sells them for more than she paid, thereby turning a profit.
